On October 6th I'm marking two things at once: the release of my new album, The Flow, Vol. 1, and my 26th birthday. I wanted to celebrate both somewhere that felt right for the music: Keizersgrachtkerk, a beautiful church on one of Amsterdam's oldest canals.

I'm entirely self-taught and read no sheet music. Everything I play is improvised live at the piano, moving between the classical and jazz legends who shaped how I hear music.

Before the music starts, Mahi Davide will lead a short opening meditation to settle the room into something quieter than a normal concert night. Then Mark Nieuwenhuis joins me on stage on trumpet.

Whether you come for the meditation, the piano, the trumpet, or just an evening that's a little different, young or old, this is about coming together in such a beautiful space to experience live music, and a moment of stillness, together.
